Vibe coding… by now it's a very familiar term.
And yet a great many people don't know what it is
or what it can actually do.

They know surprisingly little about the concept,
hold surprisingly big illusions about it,
and feel a surprisingly high wall in front of them.

Prompt engineering, context engineering, harness engineering…
Many people treat these as things to "study."
Those misunderstandings only raise the barrier to vibe coding even higher,
which is why I made this video.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
📌 What this video covers
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
✔️ The definition of vibe coding — a concept proposed by Andrej Karpathy in early 2025
✔️ The impact — visualizing MVPs and prototypes, collapsing the barrier for non-developers
✔️ Tool: Agent — the human is the "head," the agent is the "hands"
✔️ Method: Prompt — "what to do right now" (short-term memory)
✔️ Limitations — package hallucinations and trust issues
✔️ Alternative: Agentic Engineering — control based on test criteria and specs
✔️ Approach 1: Context — "what environment and rules to work within" (CLAUDE.md, GEMINI.md…)
✔️ Approach 2: Harness — an automated flow that ties prompts, context, and tools together
✔️ The future: Ambient Intelligence — ambient software that reads context
✔️ Skills you need — task decomposition + a critical eye

🧠 One-line summary
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Prompts, context, and harnesses are not new knowledge or new skills.
They are natural concepts and workflows you simply grow into by using them well.

💬 Feedback welcome

I'm still finding my feet with YouTube and video editing.
I'll keep improving where I fall short.
Feedback in the comments would mean a lot 🙏
