About this tool
Burns the contents of an SRT subtitle file directly into the video picture. The subtitles become part of the footage, so they always appear wherever it is played. Files never leave the browser.
When to use it
- —Adding subtitles for a destination that has no captioning feature
- —Making sure the content lands where people watch with sound off
- —Distributing a video where subtitles must always be visible
Good to know
- —Burned-in subtitles cannot be turned off or corrected later, so keep the original video and the SRT.
- —If you need multiple languages, keep subtitles as separate files rather than burning them in.
- —Burning in out-of-sync timings is irreversible, so verify the SRT's sync first.
