About this tool

Adds page numbers to each page of a PDF. Use it to mark a document without numbering before printing and handing it out, so pages do not get shuffled. Files never leave the browser.

When to use it

  • —Numbering unnumbered material before printing it for a meeting
  • —Renumbering a set of documents after merging them
  • —Meeting a submission requirement for page numbers

Good to know

  • —Numbers are drawn on top of the page and can collide with existing content; pick a position with margin.
  • —If the original already has numbers, both will show.
  • —Added numbers are hard to remove afterwards, so keep the original.
