About this tool

When to use it
- —Marking a circulating document as 'draft' or 'confidential'
- —Leaving provenance on a distributed copy to discourage forwarding
- —Distinguishing an interim version from the final one
Good to know
- —The watermark sits over the body text and can collide with it; adjust opacity and position so it does not impede reading.
- —A watermark makes unauthorized use harder but does not prevent it.
- —Once applied it is hard to remove, so keep the original.
