About this tool
Removes a PDF's password using the password you already know, and saves an unprotected copy. Processing stays inside the browser, so neither the document nor the password is transmitted.
When to use it
- —Unlocking a statement for archiving so you stop typing the password every time
- —Clearing protection that blocks merging or editing before processing a document
- —Removing protection from a document that no longer needs it
Good to know
- —You must know the password; there is no function here for breaking one you do not.
- —Removing protection from someone else's document may be unauthorized. Use it only on your own or where you have the right.
- —An unlocked file can be opened by anyone, so reconsider where you store it.
