About this tool
An AI looks at the image and writes an English sentence describing what is in it. It gives you a starting point for alt text, or for sorting a large pile of images by content. The model runs in your browser and the photo is not sent anywhere.
When to use it
- —Needing a first draft of alt text for images on a web page
- —Sorting photos whose filenames say nothing about their content
- —Recording in one line what a photo shows
Good to know
- —Descriptions come out in English; pair it with a translation tool if you need another language.
- —It identifies large subjects well but often gets text, logos, specific people, and fine detail wrong.
- —It is a draft: have a person check and edit it before publishing.
