About this tool

Paint over what you want gone and the area is filled in from the surrounding background. Useful for removing a passerby or a power line that spoils the composition. The AI model runs in your browser, so the photo is not sent anywhere.

When to use it

  • Erasing a stray pedestrian or car that wandered into a landscape shot
  • Tidying clutter left in the background of a product photo
  • Taking power lines out of a sky

Good to know

  • The filled area is invented, not the real background, and looks worse over complex patterns.
  • Large regions or areas in the middle of the frame tend to come out unnatural; removing in several small passes works better.
  • Erasing subjects from photos that record facts, such as accidents, contracts, or news, distorts the record.
