About this tool
Balances low, mid, and high frequencies with a five-band graphic equalizer. Trim a boomy low end, or lift the mids when speech gets buried. Processing finishes inside the browser.
When to use it
- —Reducing the boom in a meeting recording made in a reverberant room
- —Lifting mids when speech is lost under background sound
- —Opening up the highs on a recording that sounds muffled
Good to know
- —Cutting an excessive band adds less noise than boosting a missing one.
- —Moving several bands a long way at once sounds unnatural; adjust in steps of about three decibels.
- —An equalizer cannot create sound that was never recorded.
