About this tool
Draws the audio's waveform and saves it as a PNG. Seeing how loudness moves over time makes it easy to spot where the sound peaks and where it goes empty.
When to use it
- —Needing a waveform image for a podcast or track listing
- —Finding where a recording cut out or dropped too quiet
- —Comparing the loudness shape of two recordings visually
Good to know
- —A waveform shows level only; it tells you nothing about pitch or timbre.
- —Sections that fill the frame top to bottom may be distorted; listen to confirm.
- —The same audio looks louder or quieter depending on the drawing's vertical scale.
