About this tool
Edits the title, artist, and album tags stored inside an audio file. Players build their libraries from these tags, so filling them in makes files recognizable regardless of filename. Processing finishes inside the browser.
When to use it
- —Cleaning up tracks that show only as 'Track 01' with an empty title
- —Stamping your own recordings with a name and date
- —Recording podcast episode details inside the file itself
Good to know
- —Tag formats differ by file format, so converting a file may not carry every tag across.
- —Players with their own library database may not show your edits until they rescan.
- —Editing tags does not change the audio itself.
